Tilt hat - Gem。This is a truly stunning black straw tilt hat from the 1930\'s. It consists of a tall tubular crown surrounded by a short brim. The brim is edged in small loops made of the same straw, and there is a straw bow at the front of the crown. There is a black veil that can cover the face, or can be placed on tip of the brim. There is an elastic band attached to the inside to keep the hat in a tilted position. Label: A LOUETTA MODEL for the fashionable woman + ADJUSTABLE Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. This is an authentic piece of fashion history!
