681 Full Strap Slip-On Penny Loafer (Black Calf)。681 Full Strap Slip-On Penny Loafer (Black Calf) Regular price $676.00 Sleek black leather loafers by Alden. Ideal for any formal setting. Purchased new, but too big. I re-heeled shoes when new to improve durability. The cobbler charged me $65 to do this. Restores the wear surface: The heel cap, or top lift, is the part of the heel that makes direct contact with the ground and wears down most quickly. Replacing this part restores the shoe\'s original condition. Protects the core heel: A new rubber cap protects the shoe\'s more expensive wooden or leather heel base from being damaged. Adds traction: The rubber material provides better traction than a worn-down, slippery heel.
